About BeamQR
BeamQR was built to solve a simple but frustrating problem: moving files between mobile and desktop without losing quality or wasting time.
As a content creator and AI artist, I do most of my work on desktop. Writing prompts, generating visuals, and editing content is faster, more precise, and easier on my hands compared to editing on a phone. But publishing happens on mobile.
That’s where things usually break.
- Messaging apps compress files.
- Cloud drives require uploads, storage space, and waiting.
- Sometimes accounts are full, slow, or simply not available when you need them.
BeamQR was created to remove that friction.
With BeamQR, files are sent directly from one device to another using a secure peer-to-peer connection. There is no cloud upload, no account, and no compression. Just scan a QR code and transfer the file instantly.
Scan. Upload. Download. That’s the entire idea.
How BeamQR works
- Files move directly between devices using browser-based peer-to-peer technology
- Nothing is stored on our servers
- When you close the browser tab, the connection ends immediately
- File quality remains exactly the same as the original
BeamQR is especially useful for:
- Creators who edit on desktop and upload from mobile
- AI artists working with desktop tools and publishing on social platforms
- Anyone who needs fast, private, no-compression file transfers between devices
Our philosophy
Your files should stay in your hands.
BeamQR is designed to be simple, fast, and privacy-first. There are no accounts to manage, no storage limits imposed by us, and no unnecessary steps. If you can open a browser, you can use BeamQR.
This project started as a personal workflow tool and is now shared publicly for anyone who faces the same problem.
If it saves you time or frustration, then it’s doing its job.
