Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to your use of BeamQR (https://beamqr.pro), including the QR Code Generator, QR File Transfer and the BeamQR Pro plan. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. Using BeamQR

BeamQR's free tools can be used for personal and commercial purposes without an account. BeamQR Pro requires an account. You must be old enough to use online services in your country, or have permission from a parent or guardian.

2. Your content and QR codes

You are responsible for everything you put into a QR code, every file you send with File Transfer and every file you host with BeamQR Pro. QR codes you create are yours: you may use them on menus, packaging, signs, business cards, adverts or anywhere else, with no attribution required.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use BeamQR to:

• create QR codes or hosted pages that link to or contain malware, phishing pages, scams or other harmful content
• host pages that ask visitors for passwords, card numbers or other sensitive details, or that pretend to be another company or person
• send or share illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy
• harass, threaten or deceive other people
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the website or its services
• use automated tools to access the site in a way that places excessive load on it

4. How the tools work

Free QR codes are generated in your browser and are static, which means their content cannot be changed after they are created. File Transfer sends files directly between two devices; both devices must stay connected until a transfer is complete, and files are not stored for later download. See our How It Works page for details.

4a. BeamQR Pro (paid plan)

BeamQR Pro is an optional paid subscription that adds dynamic QR codes, which forward through a short BeamQR link (for example beamqr.pro/q/ab12cd) to a destination you choose and can change, file hosting for your menu, image, PDF or web page, an optional WhatsApp order button, and scan statistics. Pro costs US$4.99 per month or US$39 per year, billed in advance, and renews automatically until you cancel. Taxes are calculated at checkout. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record.

• You need an account to use Pro. Keep your login details secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• You can cancel at any time. Pro features continue until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• After cancellation, your existing dynamic codes keep redirecting to their last destination, but you can no longer edit them or view new statistics.
• Dynamic codes must follow the acceptable use rules in section 3. We may pause or remove codes or accounts that break them, and we may delete accounts that have been inactive and unpaid for more than 24 months after giving 30 days' email notice.
• We aim to keep dynamic code redirects available at all times, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service.

4b. Hosted files and pages (Pro)

• You must own, or have permission to use, everything you upload. You keep ownership of your files; you give us permission to store them and show them to anyone who opens your code or link, only so we can provide the service.
• Hosted files are public. Don't upload private or confidential information.
• For safety, uploaded web pages run in a restricted mode: they can't run forms that collect passwords or payment details, and hosted pages show a small "Hosted with BeamQR · Report this page" footer.
• Files can be up to 10 MB each. We may remove any file or page that breaks these terms or that we receive a valid complaint about, and we may suspend the account.
• The WhatsApp button only opens WhatsApp with the number and message you set. Orders, payments and conversations happen between you and your customer; BeamQR is not part of them and isn't responsible for them.

5. No warranty

BeamQR is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep the tools reliable, but we can't guarantee that every QR code will scan in every situation, or that every file transfer will complete. Scanning depends on factors such as print size, colours, lighting and the scanning device.

Always test your QR codes with more than one phone before printing, and keep your own copies of any files you transfer.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BeamQR and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the website, including printing costs, lost business, lost data or a QR code that does not scan or points to a link that later changes.

7. Advertising and third-party links

BeamQR is supported by advertising and may link to third-party websites. We don't control and aren't responsible for the content, products or privacy practices of advertisers or linked sites.

8. Changes to the service and these terms

We may change, add or remove features at any time. Free QR codes you have already created will keep working, because they don't depend on BeamQR. For Pro codes, we will give at least 30 days' email notice before any change that would stop existing codes from redirecting. We may also update these terms; the "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
